No Offer Description The project aims at designing a system of syntactic parameters, shaped on the toolkit provided by the Parametric Comparison Method, to model crosslinguistic variation in the domain of Differential Object Marking. To achieve this goal, statistical and computational techniques will be instrumental. Different bivariate and multivariate methods will be applied, such as cluster analysis, multivariate correspondence analysis and association between pairs of languages. Dedicated models will be implemented to describe, represent and extract crossparametric dependencies and quantitatively assess language similarity and its robustness.
