Horizon Europe - MSCA Marie Curie Grant Agreement Number: 101168795 Offer Description REMOLD is a European Doctoral Network, funded by the EU as part of the MSCA program. REMOLD will unite the work of 9 Doctoral Candidates (DCs) who work under the supervision of 12 Principal Investigators (PIs) based at 7 European Universities: TU Darmstadt, Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg, Universität Bonn (Germany), Università degli Studi di Milano, Università degli Studi di Padova (Italy), ENS Lyon (France) and Radboud University Nijmegen (Netherlands). To achieve REMOLD’s research goals, the network will hold regular network events at the involved universities and beyond. These events range from bringing the DCs to the state of the art concerning their working area, over soft-skill and networking aspects, to showcasing the DCs’ research at international conferences. This set of activities is rounded off by a training cooperation with a leading European quantum information company. All DCs will gather for a special semester at the Università degli Studi di Padova (March-June 2026). In addition, all DCs will spend at least one more semester at another university to work with specialists within and beyond the doctoral network. Work Projects Work Project A: Around the motivic Satake Equivalence Work Project B: Motives of stacks of bundles Work Project C: Intersection cohomology of minimally compactified Shimura varieties Work Project D: K-motives, Endoscopy and Soergel’s Conjecture The PhD students will be working with the following principal investigators: Victoria Hoskins, Radboud University Nijmegen Students with a Master's degree who wish to pursue a PhD in the following areas: Algebraic Geometry, Arithmetic Geometry, Representation Theory. Languages: ENGLISH Level Excellent Additional Information Living allowance (per month): These amounts are indicative and are subject to regulations by national law and local regulations at the host universities. For the positions in Darmstadt and Nijmegen, these regulations include a topped-up salary, and in the case of Nijmegen an extension of the PhD position to 4 years. Further information specific to the individual host universities can be requested from the Principal Investigators. Additionally, please note the mobility allowance of €600 per month and the family allowance, which is €495 per month, if applicable. Eligibility Criteria Mobility rule: Doctoral Candidates must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the recruiting institution for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately preceding their date of recruitment. Selection Process Applications will be accepted starting on January 1, 2025. Candidates may apply for multiple positions simultaneously. The Recruiting and Career Committee of REMOLD will screen incoming applications on a regular, first-come, first-served basis and will schedule interviews with promising candidates. The required documents include: a cover letter and a motivation letter; a CV, including a transcript of records for Bachelor’s and Master’s courses completed so far; copies of Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees (if applicable); Master’s thesis (or a draft, depending on your progress); the names of two referees who can provide recommendation letters (these letters do not need to be uploaded at the time of application).
