Financial Accountant

Your new company Our client is an expanding leisure organisation in Glasgow looking to recruit a Financial Accountant on an initial 6-month contract basis. Our client, who started as a family-owned business, has over 100 years of experience and offers a vibrant culture and friendly environment. The Financial Accountant position has been created through a substantial period of growth internationally and this opportunity will be 6 months initially with the opportunity for longer-term opportunities arising. Our client offers a hybrid working environment with on-site parking available. Your new role The Financial Accountant will report to the Financial Controller and will assume responsibility for accounts production, preparation of monthly management accounts and year-end statutory accounts and balancesheet reconciliations. This role will be hands-on and range from supporting VAT to explaining variances in MI and supporting new projects. This is an autonomous role where the Financial Accountant will lead day-to-day operations for this part of the business as the entity is fully integrated within the accounting structure following a recent acquisition. What you'll need to succeed You will ideally be fully qualified with CIMA/ACCA or ACCA and have experience in year-end and management accounting. Candidates both full and part-time may be considered with relevant experience. What you'll get in return You will be given a long-term contract opportunity of 6 months minimum with the opportunity to be part of a global business going through exciting change. You will be offered a daily rate of 200 per day depending on experience.
