Job Description

Flooring Contracts Manager with a minimum of 3 years experience Your new company Within 40 years, this company has grown to become one of the leading flooring contractors in the UK. With a wealth of experience, knowledge, and expertise, they are committed to delivering unrivalled service from pre-start to completion. They provide high-end flooring for multi-million-pound properties and suitable flooring for Housing Association schemes. The size of contracts undertaken varies from smaller projects to a £3.8 million contract in 2017 to various phased developments exceeding £5 million. Their client base includes major house builders. Your new role The Contracts Manager will manage multiple flooring projects from initiation to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards. This role involves close coordination with clients, suppliers, and fitters to manage labour arrangements, materials, and project documentation. Key responsibilities include pricing and measurement for tender projects, updating project documents, and addressing post-completion customer care issues. Ideally, the right candidate will be confident, hardworking, and a team player as you will be working closely within a small team in the office. What you'll need to succeed 3 years in a Contracts Manager role, preferably within the flooring or construction industry. Proficiency in reading and interpreting contracts, project specifications, and tender documents. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Ability to conduct measurements and estimate materials accurately. Exceptional organisational skills with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with experience in client-facing roles. Strong problem-solving ability, particularly in managing on-site issues and client concerns. The ability to work collaboratively with clients, fitters, and internal teams to achieve project goals. A driving licence is required for site visits and, as the office location has no reliable public transport links. What you'll get in return Working within a small, hard-working but friendly team.
