We are looking for a Senior BIM Specialist ( Structural design ) to join our team in the Rome office who will be responsible for authoring of design models, coordination and engagement across the entire project. He/she will report to the Structural Team Leader and be in charge of tutoring and coordination of the BIM Structural Team. Role Responsibilities Use various BIM tools to address structural design challenges at both the conceptual/large-scale and detailed/activity levels and participate in feasibility reviews and assessments; Be responsible for the technical mentoring of junior colleagues of the BIM Structural Team; When required, find and manage subcontractors during tender and design phases; Collaborate with structural engineers to create BIM models, draft 2D drawings and produce schedules throughout all phases of design; Maintain accurate project records in information management systems and ensure compliance with data exchange protocols; Complete tasks within the project schedule, budget and quality standards while focusing on task automation and innovation; Perform clash detection, report coordination issues, and support staff in delivering quality data for project requirements; Collaborate with the Structural Design Team to improve design workflows. Candidate Specification The successful candidate will be proactive, enthusiastic and eager to play a part in a growing team. Essential skills: Bachelor in Engineering/Architectural fields; 5 years experience in BIM structural modeling; Proficiency in BIM software; Proficiency in modeling of r.c. and steel detailing; Knowledge of BIM processes regarding content creation and information extraction from the models; Knowledge of interoperability between modeling and FE software; Strong communication skills and ability to work well with individuals (co-workers, clients, etc) at all levels; Fluent English language knowledge (other languages are a plus); Available for travel upon request.
