Job Title: PET/CT Technologist (Dual Certification) Job Specialty: PET/CT Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8-Hour Days Guaranteed Hours: 34 hours per week Experience: 1-2 years of PET/PETCT imaging experience License: State license required as applicable Certifications: CPR, NMTCB or ARRT (N), and ARRT (CT); Venipuncture certification; CA Nuclear License Must-Have: - Completion of high school diploma or GED - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience preferred - Certification in Nuclear Medicine Job Description: - Use exceptional communication skills to connect with patients, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort and satisfaction. - Responsible for patient safety including pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection techniques, and radiation safety regulations. - Produce high-quality diagnostic images to enable accurate diagnosis and treatment by physicians. - Effectively communicate with customers and/or radiologists. - Train new technologists and/or patient coordinators. - Troubleshoot the scanner, coach, and peripheral equipment including monitors, PACS, and coils. - Work in various environments such as outpatient centers, mobile coaches, or hospital-based facilities to provide quality imaging care. - Interpret physician orders and select appropriate software options and imaging parameters.
