About the Company VINCI Building is seeking a Head of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) to lead and manage HSE operations across its Delegation. This is a key leadership role focused on ensuring compliance, driving innovation, and embedding best practices across all Business Units to meet the legal, strategic, and environmental objectives of VINCI Building UK Division. About the Role Are you a strategic leader with a deep understanding of health, safety, and environmental management systems? Responsibilities: As Head of Health, Safety, and Environment, you will: Lead the development and implementation of HSE strategies and policies in alignment with VINCI Building vision, values, and objectives. Provide compliance support, advice, and training to management at all levels, ensuring the effective implementation of the Integrated Management System and adherence to ISO45001 and ISO14001 standards. Manage and mentor HSE Advisors, fostering their development and ensuring the team achieves its full potential. Conduct regular audits, reviews, and risk assessments to identify improvements, ensure legal compliance, and maintain sector-specific quality standards. Act as a key liaison with enforcing authorities, clients, supply chain partners, and other stakeholders to address HSE actions and foster collaboration. Lead incident investigations, analyze trends and root causes, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks. Develop, monitor, and review key performance indicators to measure the success of HSE initiatives. Support the creation of a Wellbeing Strategy and contribute to the Environmental Roadmap in line with company goals. Promote a risk management culture and drive innovation through working groups focused on continuous improvement and best practices. Measures of Success: Stakeholder satisfaction with visibility, engagement, and support. Delivery of objectives and personal targets as outlined in appraisals. Maintenance of ISO45001 and ISO14001 accreditations. Zero enforcement actions and reduction in third-party claims costs. Development and delivery of safety training programs within the Delegation. Reduced group insurance costs through effective risk management. Required Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience mentoring and developing HSE professionals. In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation, standards, and best practices. Proven ability to develop and implement HSE strategies and management systems. Experience managing compliance audits and maintaining accreditations for ISO45001 and ISO14001. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
