BESS Commissioning Technician - Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) Projects - Middlesbrough & Manchester, UK - £Excellent Day Rate - 9 Month Contract Potential Extensions - ASAP Start Date Have you got experience executing electrical installation & commissioning Battery Energy Storage Systems? Are you looking for a long term contract working for a market leader in the UK? If so, please read on Responsibilities: Perform electrical installation and commissioning of BESS equipment, including inverters, battery modules, and control systems. Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and fault rectification during the commissioning phase. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers and site managers, to ensure seamless project execution. Perform electrical safety checks and ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations. Complete commissioning documentation and reports as required. Provide technical support during handover to the client and/or O&M teams. Requirements: Proven experience in the commissioning of Battery Energy Storage Systems or similar renewable energy projects. Strong electrical installation and testing knowledge, with relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, or equivalent). Hands-on experience with power conversion systems, SCADA, and/or energy management systems is advantageous. Knowledge of health and safety protocols in high-voltage environments. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A valid CSCS/ECS card (or equivalent) is required. Interested?
