This is a unique opportunity for a strategic finance leader to play a key role in driving both the financial and business strategy of an ambitious organisation with operations across the UK, Europe, and the USA. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the company’s growth plans, optimising multi-channel sales, and guiding its financial direction as it continues to expand into new markets and channels. About the Role: As CFO, you will be a vital member of the executive team, influencing the company's financial and business strategy. You will lead financial restructuring, drive the financial evaluation of new business opportunities, optimise profitable multi-channel growth, and play a pivotal role in strategic acquisitions—all within a complex and evolving company structure. Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the company’s financial and business strategy, ensuring alignment with growth objectives, international expansion, and multi-channel sales performance. Financial Management: Oversee financial planning, cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring that financial insights support commercial decision-making. Financial Control & Reporting: Implement robust financial controls and provide accurate, timely reporting to the Board, executive team, and stakeholders. Commercial Decision Making: Financially evaluate new channel and territory opportunities, optimise returns of existing and new channels, and manage capital allocation. This will involve supporting and challenging Executive Team Colleagues. Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing finance function, supporting the company’s growth journey and employee-owned culture. Investment Decision Making: Optimise the capital investment program to maximise ROCE. M&A: Evaluate potential M&A opportunities as they arise. Funding: Optimise the company’s financing arrangements and manage the relationship with the bank. Qualifications: A recognised CCAB accountancy qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA). Required Skills: At least 3 years in a senior financial leadership role (CFO, Finance Director, or Senior Financial Controller), within retail, e-commerce, or digital sectors (preferred). Proven experience in driving both financial and business strategy within complex company structures, including multi-entity reporting and subsidiary management (preferred). A track record of influencing strategic decision-making at the Board level, with strong financial modelling and analytical skills. Experience managing financial operations across multiple jurisdictions, especially in the UK, Europe, and the USA (preferred). All applicants will be required to complete The Acuity Measure assessment before they can be considered for the role.
