We are looking for a virbant and efficient EYFS or KS1 Teacher to join our team at one of our local primary schools, Job Title: EYFS Teacher OR KS1 Location: Lymington Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Start Date: February 2025 Salary: Competitive, based on experience About the Role: We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated EYFS Teacher to join one of school teams our team in Lymington, starting in January 2025. As an EYFS Teacher, you will have the opportunity to shape the educational journey of young children and provide a stimulating and nurturing environment in which they can grow and thrive. The successful teacher will be passionate about early years education, committed to creating a rich learning environment, and able to work collaboratively with both colleagues and parents to support the development of the children. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons for children in the EYFS / KS1. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn. Observe and assess children’s progress and development, using a range of techniques and tools to record achievements and identify areas for support. Work closely with teaching assistants and other staff members to provide effective support for all children. Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on children's progress. Ensure the classroom is well-organized, safe, and conducive to learning. Encourage children to develop essential social, emotional, and academic skills. Adhere to school policies and procedures, including safeguarding protocols. Essential Qualifications & Skills: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) A strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum / KS1 curriculum Passion for teaching and a genuine interest in working with young children. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all children. Strong organisational and time-management skills. A commitment to creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment. Desirable: Experience in teaching EYFS or working in an early years setting. A good understanding of assessment practices and child development. First Aid certification (training can be provided). Experience working with children with additional needs or challenging behaviours (preferred but not essential).
