Building Surveyor (Inside IR35) Southampton

Here at TSA Surveying we are recruiting on behalf of an established consultancy for a Freelance Building Surveyor. This short-term role involves conducting fabric condition surveys on a further education property using a handheld device. Key Responsibilities: Undertake detailed fabric condition surveys, assessing building materials, finishes, and structural components. Use a handheld device to record and report survey findings accurately. Identify defects, maintenance needs, and risks, providing clear and actionable insights. Work closely with the consultancy team to deliver high-quality results on time. Candidate Requirements: Demonstrable experience conducting building condition surveys, ideally within further education or similar institutional properties. Strong technical knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and defect diagnosis. Experience with handheld devices and software for data collection and reporting. Excellent attention to detail, self-motivation, and the ability to meet tight deadlines. Must be compliant with IR35 regulations and eligible to work within this framework
