Plasterer

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plasterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastering techniques and experience working with various materials. This role involves applying plaster to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces to create a smooth finish. The Plasterer will also be responsible for preparing surfaces, mixing materials, and ensuring high-quality workmanship. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning, repairing, and applying bonding agents as necessary. Mix plaster according to specifications and ensure consistency for application. Apply plaster using hand tools and power tools to achieve a smooth finish on walls and ceilings. Work with various materials including cement, gypsum, and lime-based products. Perform repairs on existing plasterwork, including patching holes and cracks. Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters and bricklayers to complete projects efficiently. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations. Inspect finished work for quality assurance and make adjustments as needed. Qualifications Proven experience as a Plasterer or in a similar role within the construction industry. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to plastering tasks. Knowledge of masonry techniques is advantageous. Ability to work at heights, including roofs, safely and effectively. Familiarity with welding techniques is a plus but not essential. Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality workmanship. Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials when required. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
