Production Supervisor

My Walsall based Fabrication company are looking for a Production Supervisor to join their team on a full time and permanent basis. Duties:- Controlling and allocating resources (responsible for around 10/16 personnel) consisting of platers, fitters, welders, operatives and apprentices. Assist in control of consumables. Advice and Control of tooling / jigs & fixtures Achieving production targets / dates. Assist in Data / Time recording of hours. Maintain general cleanliness of areas in clean workshop. Liaise with QA / Contracts on welding methods. Planning, assigning, and directing production work. Maintaining organization and discipline. Monitoring health & safety in the workplace. Issuing work / jobs packages. Promote and monitor quality awareness. Promote teamwork and communication. Assist in maintaining security of the building and contents. Assist in training new starters / apprentices. Key Skills:- Ideally have worked as a Production Supervisor Fabrication & Welding bias Familiar with Nuclear fabrication work and clean non-ferrous workshop. Being able to read & interpret engineering drawings. Excellent man management Working on own initiative
