Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) Manager Location: Maldon, Essex Salary: £55,000 per annum Or £50,000 per annum Company Vehicle Benefits: 20 days annual leave company-wide Christmas closure, discretionary bonus scheme, pension auto-enrolment, business mileage paid at 40p per mile Exciting Opportunity for an HSEQ Manager We are recruiting on behalf of a leading company in the construction and rail sectors, seeking a talented Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) Manager. This is a great opportunity to join a growing organisation where you’ll be responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards across multiple operations. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the maintenance and development of the company’s management system, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Organise and deliver relevant training programmes for staff to promote a safe working environment. Develop and implement risk assessments, method statements, and safety protocols. Work alongside external bodies to help the business achieve key accreditations. Monitor and maintain employee qualifications, health assessments, and training records. Coordinate safety audits and manage company wellbeing initiatives. Assist with drug and alcohol testing and other compliance measures. Ensure proper management of company documentation and data protection. Support efforts to maintain ethical business practices and supplier compliance. What We’re Looking For: Strong experience in HSEQ management, ideally within the construction or rail industry. Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation. Experience in conducting risk assessments and developing safety protocols. Good organisational and communication skills. Ability to manage training programmes and track qualifications. Proactive attitude towards safety improvements and best practices.
