Finance Assistant

Supporting the external finance function in providing support for preparation of weekly and monthly financial reports and assist in the month-end accounting process. Responding to queries and delivering proactive support in maintaining the supply and delivery of consumables to the site and controlling the Purchase Order process for the site. You will need to have excellent attention to detail and advanced excel skills. Joining us on a full-time, permanent basis, youll be working 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday, between hours of 8am-4pm Pay, benefits and more: Were looking to offer a salary of up to £28,000 per annum and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). Youll also have access to our MyBenefits platform offering a variety of high street discounts, a cycle to work scheme, cashback cards, a saving scheme and much more What youll do on a typical day: Support with month end processes in line with company standards Deliver weekly reports in a timely, accurate manner whilst demonstrating the ability to explain any variances through analysis Issue and control of Purchase Orders, alongside Collating, analysing and preparing relevant reports for the Finance Function as requested. Run monthly payroll and do adequate checks before submitting for approval, ensuring payroll records are accurate and processed in line with company standards What you need to succeed at GXO: Strong attention to detail and accuracy Previous experience working in Finance Ability to analyse, investigate and problem-solve numerical information Ideally in process of gaining Finance qualifications such as AAT We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains ADZN1_UKTJ
