Position: Caretaker Closing Date: - 4th January 2025 Start Date: ASAP Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 per annum (based on qualifications and experience) Reporting to: Premises Manager Contract Type: Full-time Location: Caretaker Caretaker for School in Camden Sector: Education and Training As the caretaker, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of the school, unlocking the grounds, and disarming alarms as per the rota. Your daily tasks will include conducting visual checks of the property, inspecting all relevant areas, and ensuring that all service areas (heating, lighting, water) are functioning properly. You will also manage the stock of consumable items, perform first-line maintenance on fixtures and fittings, and address reported maintenance issues, such as cleaning spills and repairing door handles. Additional responsibilities include plumbing tasks (clearing blockages and drains), painting and decorating as needed, completing planned preventative maintenance, maintaining neat and tidy outdoor areas, and ensuring safe access to the school, especially during adverse weather conditions (e.g., snow clearing and gritting).
