Inclusion Lead/ SENCO

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Inclusion Lead/SENCO to join our leadership team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing our inclusion strategy, supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), and ensuring that all students have access to high-quality education. As a SENCO, you will: Lead and manage the provision for students with special educational needs. Develop and implement effective strategies to support students with SEN. Coordinate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create and maintain individualised learning plans (ILPs). Monitor and evaluate the progress of students with SEN, ensuring that interventions are effective. Provide training and support to staff on SEN best practices. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and maintain up-to-date records.About you: You have qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and appropriate SENCO qualifications. Proven experience working with children with special educational needs. Strong leadership and management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders Location - Southampton-SO15 Position - SENCO Contract or position start date - ASAP Duration - Permanent/Temporary- Long-term/Permanent Contract or position end date (if applicable) - N/A Full time/part-time - Part-time: Part-time, but open to full time for the right candidate Hours - Standard working hours 8.15am-3.30pm (times may vary). Essential & Desirable Qualifications/ requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and appropriate SENCO qualifications. Proven experience working with children with special educational needs. Strong leadership and management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
