Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • As a Project Manager Plan and coordinate projects from start to finish, including scheduling, costings, and budget management. • As a Project Manager Maintain clear communication with supervisors, engineers, subcontractors, quantity surveyors, and other stakeholders involved in the project. • As a Project Manager Oversee project direction, ensuring compliance with client specifications, reviewing progress, and liaising with the Commercial Manager to monitor costs. • Ensure adherence to legal requirements, policies, financial procedures, procurement, and framework rules to mitigate risks. • As a Project Manager Regularly review project statuses to ensure projects are on track within agreed timescales. • As a Project Manager Raise quotations for works. • Design and quote efficiently for commercial heating systems. • Promote and enforce health and safety practices, conducting site inspections to ensure compliance. • As a Project Manager Directly manage Site Supervisors to ensure effective day-to day project management. • As a Project Manager Maintain regular communication and attend meetings with clients and representatives to update them on project progress. • As a Project Manager Be available to handle unexpected problems or delays within the Projects Team. • Provide regular progress reports to the Senior Management team and Directorate. QUALIFICATIONS • Gas Safe Passport (CPA1, COCDN1, CIGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1, BMP1, CORT1) • Knowledge of boiler houses and plant rooms in a commercial setting, dealing with a range of plant room sizes from 100Kw to 5Mw (combined) • SMSTS/SSSTS certification KEY SKILLS • Excellent communication skills, ensuring clarity in communication with workers, clients, and management. • Strong problem-solving abilities to resolve issues efficiently on site and ensure satisfaction of all parties involved. • Proficiency in motivating on-site workers, particularly during challenging tasks and high-pressure situations. • Effective team leadership skills to maintain focus and increase efficiency among workers to meet project deadlines. • Commercial awareness and the ability to remain calm and responsive in high-pressure situations. • Competence in Microsoft Office suite, including planning, prioritizing, coordinating, and multi-tasking
