Job Description
Alexander Steele has partnered with a leading global Chemicals business that has an exciting opportunity for a Buyer to be responsible for managing their EMEA transportation and storage contracts. On offer Competitive Salary 5% Bonus Pension Medical benefits Hybrid remote working (3 days in the office) Onsite subsidized restaurant and secure onsite parking Key Responsibilities Negotiate the best possible commercial conditions for the business, in collaboration with internal l clients, including Supply Chain and Manufacturing. Construct bid templates in Procurement e-bidding tools to support regular bidding activities (RFI & RFP) Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and identify new suppliers Provide analysis on costs, new and existing, and review cost reduction activities Ensure price / rate / route accuracy in Transportation Management System (TMS) and SAP Candidate Requirements A relevant tertiary qualification Buying, Procurement, Supplier Negotiation and Contract Management experience Logistics or Transport category experience will be advantageous Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with cross-functional colleagues and external parties. Proficiency in SAP and analytical tools/reporting software, familiarity with TMS would be an advantage
