Teaching Assistant 1:1

Role – Teaching Assistant (1:1) Location – Hackney Pay rate - £100 a day Milk Education are in partnership with a ‘Good’ Pupil Referral Unit in Hackney who are a mixed provision for primary aged students through to Year 11 of secondary school. We are seeking a strong KS3-KS4 Teaching Assistant to work with students with varying needs and abilities, so it is important to be confident with all curriculum levels. This school strives to equip their students with the skills to be successful, and to help learners overcome their barriers to learning, which may be about improving their behaviour or some other aspects of learning. There is a strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy especially for their younger students. Responsibilities and Duties: Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils. demonstrate consistently the positive attitudes, values and behaviour which are expected of pupils. have a secure knowledge of the relevant subject(s) and curriculum areas, foster and maintain pupils’ interest in the subject, and address misunderstandings plan, prepare, teach and evaluate lessons throughout the age and ability range know when and how to differentiate appropriately, using approaches which enable pupils to be taught effectively demonstrate an awareness of the physical, social and intellectual development of children, and know how to adapt teaching to support pupils’ education at different stages of development To maintain teaching records, attendance and other pastoral records. Required Skills & Experience: KS3 – KS4 experience Experience, knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes Excellent time management and to be able to assess behavioural situations and take appropriate actions.
