Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a specialist structural repairs contractor for ongoing works in the North of England. The company are an industry leader in their field delivering a number of solutions on key projects in the North of England. Key solutions delivered include: structural concrete repair, corrosion protection, bridge strengthening, bearing replacement and concrete carriageway rehabilitation. Project values range anywhere from £1m to £5m. Duties will include: · Commercial reporting including forecasting and wider project performance · Work alongside operational team to produce accurate End Life Forecasts · Manage client interface · Contract Administration · Provision of contractual advice to the project delivery team · Aid in subcontract procurement and placement, ensuring best value for money and lowest risk achieved at all times · Payment and debt management · Post project appraisals and feedback loop to T & E team · Attend internal and external (Client) meetings · Final account compilation / submission Key Competencies: · Team work · Contractual knowledge – NEC and JCT knowledge · Verbal and written communication skills · Negotiation skills · Organised and efficient · Customer service skills · Ability to multitask and work well under pressure A salary of up to £40,000 DOE plus attractive package
