Direct message the job poster from Tusk Talent Position: Biogas Site Manager My client is a leading international biomethane and biogas plant manufacturer headquartered in Western Europe with subsidiaries in France, Italy, East and Central Europe, UK and US. They have already completed over 200 biogas plant projects, generating electricity and biomethane worldwide and currently seeking a Site Manager in the North of Italy to work on a major site. Key Responsibilities Operations Management Oversee daily operations of the biogas plant, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency. Monitor and manage feedstock supply, storage, and feeding processes. Ensure the proper functioning of biogas digesters, gas storage, and utilization systems. Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of plant equipment. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations. Develop and implement safety protocols and emergency response plans. Maintain documentation related to safety audits, inspections, and incident reports. Team Leadership and Training Supervise and lead a team of plant operators, technicians, and support staff. Provide training and mentoring to team members to enhance operational skills. Schedule and manage shifts to ensure continuous plant operation. Performance Monitoring and Reporting Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as gas yield, feedstock efficiency, and plant uptime. Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement. Prepare and present performance reports to management and stakeholders. Maintenance and Troubleshooting Coordinate regular maintenance and repair activities to minimize downtime. Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions promptly. Liaise with vendors and suppliers for spare parts and technical support. Stakeholder Engagement Collaborate with feedstock suppliers, contractors, and local authorities. Ensure positive relationships with community stakeholders and address any concerns. Assist in promoting sustainable practices and awareness about renewable energy. Requirements Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in biogas plant operations or similar roles. Strong knowledge of anaerobic digestion processes and biogas technologies. Skills and Competencies Proficient in operational management and process optimization. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Familiarity with plant monitoring software. Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations. Additional Requirements Willingness to work in a rotational/on-call schedule if required. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as needed.
