IT Procurement Manager

Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading international client to recruit for an IT Procurement Manager based in the West Midlands.

As an IT Procurement Manager, you’ll be implementing procurement procedures in line with the procurement strategy and leading the process for all IT-related spend. You’ll be managing all IT suppliers to deliver best value by actively benchmarking; and negotiating any contract changes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Implementing procurement procedures in keeping with the procurement strategy and procurement policies and processes
• Lead the procurement process for IT related spend
• Supporting the development of appropriate IT procurement strategies that support value for money objectives e.g. supplier consolidation
• Facilitating the development of relationships with existing and potential IT suppliers through strategic supplier relationship management
• Ensuring IT suppliers continue to deliver best value by actively benchmarking against identified and approved comparators; and negotiating any contract changes
• Preparing and delivering senior level presentations/reports to support any procurement strategy, price changes and products

To be a successful IT Procurement Manager, you’ll need to have strong IT category management & category strategy development experience and supplier relationship management experience.

You’ll need to be to:

• Demonstrate experience in running tenders and leading complex IT procurement competitions.
• Demonstrate experience in leading commercial negotiations within a highly regulated Procurement environment under the guidelines of PCR

Ideally qualified to at least Level 4 CIPS with a desire to achieve MCIPS.
