About the Company
Our client is a prominent global not-for-profit organization, and they are currently seeking a Technical Services Manager to provide expert guidance in managing M&E (Mechanical and Electrical) assets across their extensive operational sites in Central London.
The Role
As the Technical Services Manager, you will offer technical expertise and ensure that assets are effectively managed in line with the organization’s objectives. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Overseeing the full lifecycle of asset management (M&E)
* Ensuring the accuracy of the asset register and condition ratings (MEP assets), as well as evaluating technical solutions from service partners and project engineers
* Holding accountability for technical authority and setting the strategic direction for asset maintenance, replacements, repairs, equipment specifications, operating requirements, and plant & equipment policies and processes
* Developing and implementing strategic plans for M&E technical services
* Defining the asset management strategy and policies for M&E service partners, fostering a forward-thinking, innovation-driven, and continuous improvement culture
* Reviewing and approving any deviations from SFG20
* Handling relevant administrative and communication tasks, including business cases, reporting, and liaising with business stakeholders
What You’ll Need to Succeed
To excel in this role, you will need a solid technical background with relevant engineering qualifications and experience. In addition, you should have:
* Extensive experience in end-to-end asset management, preferably within a large and complex estate
* Both operational and strategic expertise
* Engineering qualifications relevant to the role
* Knowledge of key M&E services and maintenance regimes
* Experience in drafting technical equipment specifications, processes, and standards
* A strong background in facilities asset management and asset management strategy
* Commercial insight and strong business acumen
* Experience in managing risk, compliance, and incidents
