Job Description
Boyd Recruitment are seeking a Trainee Electrical Project Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain hands-on experience while developing technical expertise in electrical engineering and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the design, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems within substations.
Work with senior engineers to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry standards.
Support the preparation of technical specifications, reports, and documentation.
Participate in project meetings and site visits to ensure smooth execution of tasks.
Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure efficient project delivery.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues on-site.
Learn and apply health and safety regulations related to electrical works in substations.
Requirements:
A degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Strong interest in electrical engineering, particularly in the design and operation of substations.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Familiarity with electrical drawings and specifications is a plus.
A full UK driving license is essential.
