Job Description

Job Title: Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Design Engineer (Subsea Equipment)

Key Responsibilities:
Design and Development: participate in the design and development of electrical and control systems for subsea equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Project Lifecycle Involvement: Participate in all phases of project development, from initial client requirements through to design, installation, testing, and customer acceptance.
Technical Support: Provide technical support across various departments, including Sales, Project Management, and Production.
System Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical, mechanical, and software systems.
Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
Testing and Validation: Conduct factory acceptance testing (FAT) and support on-site commissioning activities.
Safety Compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to safety standards and regulations, including machinery safety and explosive atmosphere requirements.Qualifications:
Education: BEng (Hons) in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Or demonstrable equivalent work experienceExperience:

Skills: Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor), and familiarity with PLC/SCADA systems.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Experience with subsea control systems and knowledge of industry standards (e.g., API, ISO).
Familiarity with network communication protocols (e.g., MODBUS, RS485).
Experience with sizing and selection of power system components, cables and glands, earthing, and earth bondingThis role is crucial for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of subsea operations, contributing to the advancement of offshore technology.
