Senior Business Development Manager (C&I Solar)

Location: Lancashire (Hybrid) + Travel

Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 + Uncapped Commission

About the role:

MDE Group UK are working on behalf of a leading renewable energy company, specializes in Commercial Solar PV projects for high-profile clients across the UK. Our client has experienced significant growth over the past two years and has ambitious plans for further expansion.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join their team and drive success in large-scale commercial solar projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute strategies to identify and secure large-scale commercial and industrial solar projects.
• Build and nurture relationships with stakeholders in major organisations.
• Lead the preparation and submission of high-quality tenders, ensuring alignment with client requirements and deadlines.
• Negotiate contracts and manage the sales cycle to effectively close deals.
• Collaborate closely with technical and project delivery teams to tailor proposals to client needs.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, market developments, and relevant policies.

Essential Skills:

• Proven track record of securing large-scale commercial solar projects.
• Strong experience in tender writing and submission processes.
• Demonstrated success in managing and developing relationships with introducing partners.
• Experience negotiating and closing high-value contracts with large organisations.
• Good knowledge of funding options, including Power Purchase Agreements (PPA).
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to establish credibility and trust with stakeholders.
• Familiarity with renewable energy policies and market trends.
