Job Description
FLEET OPERATIONS CONTROLLER / PORT ELIZABETH – Our client in the Courier Industry has a 12-month renewable contract position available to start soonest. Must be flexible, as there will be call outs from time to time (would suit a Male preferably) MIN REQUIREMENTS: 5 years’ experience in a similar position in the Logistics/Courier environment (preferably dealing with medium/large fleets in business) 3 years in a Supervisory/Management position as you will be overseeing/supervising 19 x Drivers Knowledge and experience with Telematics Further Qualification/Certificate in Logistics (advantageous) Highly proficient in Microsoft Office; E-mail; instant messaging, spreadsheet, and word processing apps Exceptional Customer Relations experience RESPONSIBILITIES: Ability to interpret reports from Telematics Must be able to assist in the administration and coordination of the organizations fleet Extensive understanding of Vehicle Systems e.g. Tracker Footage, reports, data analysis Maintain accurate records of vehicles and paperwork concerning vehicles. Completion of proper forms (individual Driving assessments) Facilitate driver orientation, files and records Accident reporting, joint vehicle inspection with drivers. Assist in driver evaluation supervising driver performance Issuing periodic reports to Management. In an event of driver accident to assist in requesting first Aid to the driver, towing truck and completing accident forms for claims.
