Job Description
Requirements: A diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field. Proven 1- 3 years supervisory experience in a food manufacturing distribution or warehouse environment. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Certification in FSSC 22000 will be advantageous. Forklift Licence will be advantageous. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed. Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-focused approach. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. Strong understanding of workplace health and safety regulations. Leadership and team management skills. Analytical and problem-solving abilities. Duties: Supervise the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods in accordance with company policies and safety standards. Ensure all products are handled, stored, and transported according to food safety and quality requirements. Maintain accurate records of all finished goods transactions, including stock receipts, transfers, and dispatches. Monitor stock levels to ensure optimal stock availability. Assist the Distribution Manager to ensure proper stock layout for efficient inventory flow and accessibility. Implement and uphold FIFO (First-In, First-Out) practices for product rotation. Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to FSSC 22000 and health and safety guidelines. Take part in internal and external audits. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address non-conformities and implement corrective actions. Conduct regular stock takes and ensure that discrepancies are investigated. Enforce workplace safety standards in line with regulatory requirements. Conduct risk assessments, safety drills, and regular inspections. Ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) by staff. Ensure adherence to occupational health and safety standards, including risk assessments and incident reporting. Provide leadership to the team on the shift by fostering a culture of safety and quality. Train and mentor team members on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Manage staff schedules, workloads, and task assignments to optimize efficiency. Address disciplinary issues promptly and professionally, adhering to company policies. Identify training needs and organize development programs for team growth. Implement strategies to improve productivity and service delivery.
