As a Reservoir & Petroleum Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the company in all Reservoir and Petroleum engineering aspects in pursuing new opportunities outside Italy in the Underground Gas Storage business and new energy underground storages (CCS and Hydrogen). You’ll be part of our Snam/Stogit International UGS team, which provides technical support for the offer and execution of UGS services to various internal and external clients around the world. This includes the development of new energy storage projects (mainly hydrogen and CO2 underground storage) as well as evaluating projects/Assets where the underground storages component is included. Ensure the preparation of Reservoir feasibility studies to develop new international UGS projects or upgrade existing ones, coordinating external consultants and integrating internal resources if needed. Execute reservoir specialist studies for the evaluation and design of underground gas storages, focusing on building and running dynamic modeling studies (Storage capacity, WG, CG, withdrawal and injectivity performance, and efficiency). Ensure the technical execution and follow-up of any Reservoir engineering and geology international activity, guaranteeing the proper link with the Company center of competence. Participate in the evaluation of Underground Gas, CO2, and hydrogen Storage concerning reservoir & petroleum engineering aspects for any new initiative outside Italy (international), coordinating external consultants and interfacing with internal resources. Within the multidisciplinary team in charge of asset evaluation for any new international UGS initiative, participate in due diligence, data room, and technical meetings, with full responsibility for reservoir & petroleum engineering aspects. Ensure the verification of quality, robustness, and completeness of all reports and deliverables envisaged by any service contract with third-party clients. What is required to join our team? Master's degree in petroleum, reservoir, mechanical, chemical, civil engineering, or a related field. At least 7-10 years of experience in international contexts. Proven involvement in upstream feasibility study realization for the development of gas fields (preferably UGS). Detailed knowledge in supervision and realization of 3D dynamic models with both black oil and compositional simulators. Experience in technical evaluation of Oil/Gas fields in both terrigenous and fractured environments. Experience in reservoir management of gas fields and in production optimization techniques and processes. Experience in design, supervision, and interpretation of well tests and in wells performance monitoring (definition of new production, injection, and interference tests). Knowledge of petroleum geology and geological model construction processes and techniques. Knowledge of geodynamics (subsidence, tectonics) and rock geomechanics (stress status, elastic deformation field, compaction law). Basic knowledge of seismic acquisition techniques and seismic interpretation. Experience related to deposit evaluation for CCUS projects or hydrogen storage projects is a plus. Hands-on experience with reservoir and petroleum engineering software like Petrel G&G, Petrel Geomechanics, and Techlog. Track record of interdisciplinary working group coordination. Track record in managing external contractors. Ability to be a technical consultant to our customers and build successful and strategic relationships. Demonstrate excellent communication skills and clear thinking to articulate highly technical information in a clear and easy-to-understand manner. Good knowledge of the energy sector, with a focus on gas transport & storage infrastructure and/or renewable energy gas-related (e.g., hydrogen, CCUS). Are you the person we are looking for?
