Job Description

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Technical Documentation Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining structured technical documentation in English for our software products. This role involves ensuring that all documents are clear, precise, and easily understandable for end users, utilizing a variety of tools and technologies. A technical background is advantageous. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain structured technical documentation for users, installers, developers, and system administrators. Document system requirements and ensure accuracy and clarity. Requirements: Proven experience as a Technical Writer in creating structured technical documentation in English within the electronics, telecommunications, IT, or mechanical sectors. Diploma or degree in a technical-scientific field. Strong understanding of technical terminology relevant to the sector. Excellent written communication skills, with a focus on clarity and precision. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of graphic tools and image processing. Ability to work independently, follow directions, and meet deadlines. High school diploma or master’s degree with excellent grades. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in written English. Native proficiency in oral and written Italian. Residence within approximately 30 KM of Milan. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with technical writing XML tools such as Oxygen XML Editor or MadCap Flare XML Editor. Familiarity with the DITA (Darwin Information Typing Architecture) XML standard and information organization principles. Experience with Agile methodologies. Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management tools such as Siemens Teamcenter, PTC WindChill, or similar. Understanding of quality processes related to technical document production, validation, and release. Knowledge of one or more programming languages. Important Notes: Presence in the office 4 days a week is mandatory. No experience as a translator, interpreter, or linguist is required. We are not seeking candidates with a medical writing or biotechnology background. We are looking for a technical writer with expertise in the hardware/software sector, capable of learning product functionality and independently describing configuration and installation procedures using best practices in structured technical writing.
