Job Title: Technical Solutions & Support Manager – EV Charging Solutions
(Mandarin Speaker Preferred)
Location: Kent, UK (Hybrid; two days per week in the office preferred)
Reports To: General Manager (UK & NL)
Salary: £50k to £60k (Negotiable)

Position Summary:
The Technical Solutions & Support Manager will serve as the key interface between the R&D team and clients, ensuring technical accuracy, clear communication, and robust support throughout the product lifecycle. This role requires a strong engineering background in electrical or electronics, enabling the candidate to thoroughly understand how EV chargers function and provide expert guidance on technical solutions.
The position is pivotal in managing client expectations, addressing product customisation requirements, and ensuring compliance with UK/EU standards. This hybrid role allows you to work on cutting-edge EV technologies and help clients achieve their sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Expertise & Support
- Develop a deep understanding of EV chargers, their components, and functionalities to address client queries effectively.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact, bridging communication between the R&D team and end clients.
- Provide technical guidance on the feasibility of product customisations and enhancements.
Pre-Sales and Project Support
- Collaborate with the sales team and clients to understand technical requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Develop technical proposals and ensure project plans align with client expectations and delivery timelines.
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure resource optimisation and on-time project delivery.
Post-Sales Support and Quality Assurance
- Provide technical support to clients during product deployment and resolve operational issues as they arise.
- Monitor feedback from end-users to identify areas for improvement and collaborate with the R&D team on updates.
- Ensure all products meet applicable industry standards, including CE/UKCA marking and IEC 61851 compliance.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by providing consistent technical support and ensuring satisfaction.
- Manage post-sales relationships to encourage repeat business and long-term partnerships.
Regulatory and Compliance Oversight
- Ensure all solutions comply with UK/EU regulations and safety standards, including cybersecurity and reliability requirements.
- Oversee certification processes and provide recommendations to ensure product adherence to evolving industry norms.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a technical engineering role, ideally in EV charging or electronics manufacturing.
Technical Expertise:
- Strong understanding of EV charging technologies, including hardware design and software integration.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as IEC 61851, CE/UKCA marking, and OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol).
- Experience with IoT concepts and their application to EV chargers.
Skills and Attributes:
- Problem-Solver: Quick to diagnose technical issues and propose practical solutions.
- Client-Focused: Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to build and sustain long-term client relationships.
- Organised: Strong project management skills to oversee multiple technical deliverables.
- Collaborative: Capable of working across teams, including R&D, sales, and supply chain.
- Fluency in English is essential; Mandarin language skills are highly preferred to liaise with international teams.
