Job Description
SQS - Groundwork Sub-Contractor based in Hertfordshire.
Our client is currently looking to recruit a suitably qualified Quantity Surveyor, ideally with at least 5+ years’ experience in groundworks.
The client generally operates within approximately 1 hour of their head office in Hertfordshire, but this particular role will require you to work from a site in Cambridge 2-3 days a week.
Duties will involve site visits, undertaking measures of completed work, collating information, identifying and valuing variations and preparing / submitting valuations.
You will be expected to work closely with our Contracts Manager and Site Managers, ensuring that works are valued accurately, whilst maintaining good working relationships.
Applicants should be able to work well under pressure. Experience working for a Groundworks Sub-Contractor is a must, RC Frame experience would be advantageous.
You will require good communication and negotiation skills
