Job Description
We are seeking a Commercial Sales Support Manager for this exciting opportunity with a National Company that manufactures and provides a full turnkey service for sensory, pressure control and pressure management products along with data acquisition that are installed and used nationally across the UK’s clean water and wastewater networks.
Commercial Sales Support Manager – Candidate Requirements
* Relevant qualification in business, finance, management, or a related field.
* 3-5 years of experience in sales operations, commercial support, or a similar role.
* Experience with business systems (e.g., Salesforce, Arena, BC, Nav, SAP etc) and familiarity with contract management and pricing tools.
* Ability to analyse data, develop pricing models, and make recommendations based on financial insights.
* Strong attention to detail in reviewing contracts, pricing structures, and tender documents.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration across departments.
* A full driving licence
Commercial Sales Support Manager – Role Overview
* The role is a hybrid role and is a mixture of home, remote and office-based work
Reporting directly to the Business Development Director the main responsibilities are:
Business System Management
* Oversee and manage the internal business systems, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across sales and commercial teams.
* Support the sales team by providing training, troubleshooting, and maintaining best practices for CRM usage.
* Analyse internal data to identify trends, customer behaviour, and potential opportunities, providing insights to sales and commercial teams.
Contract Terms and Conditions (T&C) Review
* Conduct initial reviews of contract terms and conditions to ensure alignment with company policies and risk management guidelines.
* Coordinate with legal and commercial teams to address any identified risks or discrepancies in contract T&Cs.
* Provide guidance to the sales team on contractual requirements and assist in negotiations when needed.
Tender and Bid Coordination
* Manage the tender submission process, including the preparation, review, and submission of proposals and tender documents.
* Collaborate with sales and commercial teams to ensure all relevant information is included in tender responses.
* Track tender opportunities and deadlines, ensuring timely completion and high-quality submissions.
Pricing Support and Analysis
* Assist in setting and updating pricing strategies, based on market research, competitor analysis, and profitability targets.
* Work with commercial teams to develop pricing models for new products or services.
* Provide pricing recommendations and support during the proposal and negotiation stages to meet both customer needs and revenue goals.
Process Improvement and Cross-Functional Coordination
* Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve collaboration between sales, commercial, and legal teams.
* Support the implementation of new processes and tools that improve efficiency and support growth initiatives.
* Facilitate cross-department communication to ensure that all teams are aligned on priorities, deadlines, and customer expectations
