Job Description
We are seeking an Assistant/Junior Quantity Surveyor to work for a sub-contractor on a multi-million pound Tier 1 scheme.
Job Title: Assistant/Junior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Sunderland
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Main Responsibilities:
Manage and process payments to sub-contractors, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements and timelines.
Other responsibilities depending on level of competency include:
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of project budgets and financial reports.
Support senior quantity surveyors in measuring and valuing work completed on-site.
Contribute to the preparation of bills of quantities and tender submissions.
Monitor project costs and assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Maintain accurate records and documentation for all financial transactions.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate cost reporting and forecasting.
Undertake additional quantity surveying duties based on experience and project needs.
Qualifications:
Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Some experience in a quantity surveying role is preferred, but recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with quantity surveying software is a plus
