Job Description
Copello is partnering with a leading Air Traffic Control Services provider to recruit a Senior Air Traffic Engineer based in Liverpool.
As the Senior Air Traffic Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of essential communication, navigation, and surveillance systems. You will lead the maintenance, repair, and modification of systems used to support aircraft operations both in the air and on the ground. Additionally, you will oversee the implementation of Safety, Quality, and Security Management systems, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the maintenance and repair of Ground/Air Communication systems, Navigational Aids (Navaids), Primary and Secondary Surveillance Radars, and computer-based information systems.
* Ensure the continuous safe operation of all air traffic control systems and services.
* Implement and maintain Safety, Quality, and Security Management systems, adhering to company standards.
* Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and supervise contractors and third-party personnel when necessary.
* Conduct system modifications and upgrades to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
* Troubleshoot complex technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to service operations.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
* Extensive experience in Air Traffic Engineering, including expertise in Ground/Air Communication systems, Navaids, radars, and related technologies.
* Proven leadership and team management experience in a technical environment.
* ATSEP certification or equivalent training at a high level.
* Strong understanding of regulatory and safety standards within air traffic control operations.
* Experience in a similar senior-level role within civil aviation or military/RAF operations is highly advantageous
