Job Description
An early Christmas present of an opportunity for a Site Engineer with a successful main contractor working on water & civils projects in the South East
The Site Engineer role will primarily involve planning, designing, and managing water & civil engineering construction projects.
I am seeking a site engineer who is looking to move into site management role
Responsibilities of the Site Engineer
* Setting out, levelling, and surveying onsite.
* Project procurement and organisation of material, sub-contractors and plant, including planning work schedules.
* Ensuring work is being executed in a safe manner and managing CDM compliance on site.
* Liaison with project stakeholders.
* Analysis of drawings, specifications, and other documentation for accuracy of calculation including the analysis of labour, plant and materials costs.
* Conduct quality control inspections to ensure that work meets project standards and specifications.
* General site paperwork and assist with the management of the site including supervision of the site labour force and work of subcontractors.
* Perform site tasks, cube making, site activities logs and other relevant tasks as required.
Requirements of the Site Engineer
* Ideally have 1-3 years experience working in Civil Engineering or Construction.
* Ideally have worked in the water sector
* B.Sc. Degree or higher, in Civil or Structural Engineering
* Confident using Microsoft packages and AutoCAD
* Excellent communication skills
* Excellent planning, organisational, teamwork and presentation skills
* Full clean drivers’ licence
