Are you a skilled BMS Commissioning Engineer looking for your next challenge? Join a dynamic team delivering innovative building management system solutions across the North West of the UK.
About the Role
As a BMS Commissioning Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of implementing cutting-edge building management systems. You will ensure systems meet client requirements and industry standards for performance and efficiency while providing technical support, training, and recommendations for system improvements.
This role offers the opportunity to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a commissioning team. You may also supervise and mentor junior engineers, ensuring effective and safe site practices.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Conduct full BMS commissioning to ensure seamless project delivery.
* Carry out field point-to-point checks, terminations, and wiring modifications.
* Commission DDC control systems such as TREND, Tridium, Schneider, or Siemens.
* Provide technical support and deliver training to clients and stakeholders.
* Create and update project documentation, including reports, submittals, and ‘as commissioned’ information.
* Attend and contribute to site meetings and liaise with subcontractors and clients.
* Enforce and adhere to Health & Safety policies and ISO standards.
* Collaborate with the team to share technical knowledge and best practices.
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Knowledge:
* Hands-on experience with at least one BMS system (e.g., Trend, Tridium, Schneider, Siemens).
* Knowledge of Niagara-based systems and HVAC systems.
* Electrically competent with strong PC skills (Word and Excel).
* Understanding of Safe Systems of Work and Health & Safety standards.
Skills & Attributes:
* Attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
* A self-motivated and accountable team player.
* Strong communication and customer relationship skills.
* Commercial awareness (training provided if required).
