Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading power company to recruit an Engineering Manager for their quarry site in West Yorkshire
The Engineering Manager role comes with a salary of up to £55,000 + car allowance + benefits package.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Operations Manager you will:
Manage a team of 2 direct reports, plus a larger team of sub-contractors and servicing teams, including electricians, mechanical fitters, fabricators, welders and more.
Ensure that daily / weekly / monthly inspections are completed and defects reported.
Align maintenance plans to achieve key performance indicators and / or market demand.
Plan major maintenance projects and develop capital investment recommendations for the plant.
Provide leadership, coaching, training and development for all employees in the engineering department.
Analyse performance of the maintenance operation and communicate the results to senior management to drive continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with ISO standards, environmental standards and management standards are all times.
Work with Quarry Managers to understand scopes of work, hire subcontractors where required and manage their work through to completion.
Ensure all staff on site are following health and safety regulations at all times.
Support internal and subcontractor maintenance teams as technical expert on maintenance works.
Happy to travel to other sites (within 30min radius of base site) as required.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
At least 5 years' management experience, ideally within quarry plant or similar heavy industrial site.
Maintenance experience in similar plant, ideally with an electrical bias.
QCF 6 / NVQ4 in Extractives is hugely desirable
Welding / fabrication experience a strong advantage
Project Management experience is essential.
Personal skills
The Engineering Manager role would suit someone who has:
