Job Description
Apex Resources are currently recruiting for an Experienced Industrial Roofing Estimator.
This is a senior position within a specialist working at height organisation sitting at a turnover of £4.5m 2023. Working closely with contracts manager and operations, you will be responsible for pricing refurbishment projects ranging from £1k - £1m
Role Description:
* Estimating materials costs based on material prices and labour costs
* Building a estimating process/team within the current business and selecting industry leading estimating software to be implemented within the business
* Communicating with clients regarding project status, costs, and any changes that may be required during the project
* Identifying which materials are needed for each type of roofing project, including shingles, decking, or other materials
* Determining the appropriate type of roofing for each situation based on the size of the structure, number of stories, exposure to sunlight/weather conditions, etc.
* Inspecting roofs to determine if there are any signs of damage or need for repair or replacement
* Creating detailed drawings or sketches of proposed construction plans for clients, contractors, and other stakeholders involved in the project
* Calculating square footage measurements of roofs to determine the amount of material needed to complete a project
* Working closely with surveyors, engineers, contracts manager & operations manager throughout the planning and installation process to ensure that designs are feasible and meet building codes
* Providing estimates of labour costs and material costs based on the type of roofing material, size of the structure, and complexity of the project
£45k to £60k per year DOE
