Job Description

Responsibilities:


Provide expertise in electrical design, ensuring alignment with internal and external customer requirements and regulatory standards.

Apply innovative thinking to deliver cost-effective design solutions that offer maximum value to our customers.

Manage workload and resources to meet project deadlines and maintain high-quality output.

Communicate effectively with team members, management, customers, and suppliers to keep them informed of project status.

Take an active role in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design processes and performance.

Support Technical Sales, Innovations, and Applications teams in evaluating project proposals for technical viability.

Lead internal and external design review meetings as the Electrical Design Lead.

Mentor and guide Electrical Designers to ensure the quality and timeliness of design outputs.

Contribute to the management of facilities and tools under the guidance of the Engineering Manager.

Foster strong partnerships with customers through exceptional service, trust, and flexibility.


Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):


Proven ability to interpret customer and regulatory requirements for accurate electrical designs.

Commercial awareness to maximise value for customers and maintain strong relationships.

Strong knowledge of electrical design standards and compliance in industrial automation systems.

Proficiency in electrical design software packages, including EPlan and Autodesk Vault.

Minimum of 5 years of design experience.


Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):


Experience in conducting assessments and generating technical documents in compliance with relevant standards.

Familiarity with validation procedures and the application of GAMP.

Previous experience in supervising and mentoring an electrical design team.

HNC, HND, or BSC in a relevant engineering discipline.


Technologies:

Microsoft Office Suite

Electrical design software packages (e.g., EPlan)

PDM software (preferably Autodesk Vault)
