Are you passionate about environmental management and sustainability within the construction industry? This is an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Advisor to join a dynamic team, playing a key role in driving environmental performance across multiple high-profile development projects.
About the Role:
As part of the Sustainability Team, the Environmental Advisor will be the lead environmental contact for several development projects. The role involves ensuring high standards of environmental management across the board, focusing on key areas such as carbon, energy, water, and waste. You’ll work closely with project teams, offering expertise to ensure compliance with environmental regulations, achieving sustainability targets, and advancing the company’s environmental goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training and Awareness: Raise awareness of sustainability goals by providing both formal and informal training to colleagues.
- Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with cross-functional project teams (e.g., procurement, construction, sales) to ensure sustainability standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Site Audits and Compliance: Conduct site visits and formal audits every two months to assess environmental compliance and recommend improvements.
- Data Management: Manage and analyse monthly sustainability data (e.g., waste volumes, energy and fuel use) and prepare reports for quarterly submissions.

- Relevant Experience: Previous experience in environmental management within the construction industry.
- Passion for Sustainability: A proactive and motivated individual, passionate about meeting environmental standards and driving innovation on-site.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and data analysis abilities, with the confidence to engage and influence colleagues at all levels.
- Technical Knowledge: A clear understanding of key environmental topics such as energy efficiency, waste management, and environmental compliance.
