THE ROLE You will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where junior and senior scientists collaborate, each with their expertise, to carry out a scientific activity with a shared research goal. The Artificial and Mechanical Intelligence Research Unit is coordinated by Daniele Pucci. The research combines theoretical investigations with real-time practical implementation on real hardware and embedded electronics. This includes improving the state of art in wearables for physical human-robot interaction, telexistence technologies, and human biomechanics analysis. We are seeking to appoint a full-time software developer interested in the general topic of software applications for wearable systems. The focus of the job is to design software architectures, AI algorithms, and graphical interfaces for the Artificial and Mechanical Intelligence. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS Master’s degree in one of the following areas: robotics, software engineering, electronic engineering, biomedical engineering, wearable robotics, or any other field related to software or robotics; Outstanding or very good academic track record; Creative, proactive, and collaborative attitude; Good command of spoken and written English; Analytical Reasoning skills and a growth mindset. ADDITIONAL SKILLS Experience with cloud based applications; Experience with software design architectures; Experience with Graphical User Interface (GUI) design; Experience with GitHub or other code versioning tools; Ability to work in a challenging and international environment; Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environment. COMPENSATION PACKAGE Private health care coverage depending on your role and contract; Candidates from abroad or Italian citizens who have carried scientific research activity permanently abroad and meet specific requirements, may be entitled to a deduction from taxable income of up to 90% from 6 to 13 years.
