1:1 Teaching Assistant (SEN Specialist)
Location: Newcastle
Through: Teaching Personnel
Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: £75-£85 per day (depending on experience)
Are you an experienced and reliable Teaching Assistant with a background in Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Teaching Personnel is looking for a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional needs in a Newcastle school.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with SEN, helping them engage with their learning.
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to follow the child’s Individual Education Plan (IEP).
Create a positive and supportive learning environment for the pupil.
Foster the child’s social and emotional development.
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience supporting children with SEN is essential.
A patient, reliable, and compassionate approach.
Strong communication skills to liaise with staff, parents, and external agencies.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant certificate) are desirable but not essential.
