Traffic Signals Engineer
We are currently assisting our client in Nottinghamshire to find an experienced Traffic Signals Engineer to join their dedicated Transport team.
The main duties of the experienced Traffic Signals Engineer are:
·Provide effective technical services for the design, installation, and maintenance of traffic signal systems across the area.
·Work with developers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure traffic signal projects are completed to the required specifications.
·Accurately record technical details of traffic signal schemes, including drawing references and technical reports, using appropriate software.
·Liaise with legal teams to complete necessary agreements under the relevant legislation for traffic signal installations.
·Keep up to date with policy, legislation, national guidance, health and safety requirements, and technical specifications to ensure correct application by the team.
·Assist in the coordination and implementation of traffic signal improvement schemes and updates.
What You Will Need to Succeed:
·NVQ Level 6 (graduate) or Level 5 (foundation degree), or considerable traffic signal design experience.
·Working towards a professional qualification (desirable).
·Membership of a relevant professional organisation (desirable).
·Experience with traffic signal design and installation processes, including understanding relevant guidelines and standards (desirable).
·Strong verbal and written communication skills for interpreting complex technical and legislative information and delivering reports and recommendations.
·Ability to manage time effectively and work collaboratively with stakeholders to develop solutions to complex issues.
·Political awareness and understanding of local government operations.
