Job Description

Buying Manager / Full time / Permanent / £55,000 - £60,000

My client, a leading home furnishings retailer, are looking for a Buying Manager to join them on a full-time permanent basis. As a Buying Manager in this role, you should have strong knowledge of the retail industry and be confident in supplier negotiations and contract management. You should also be a confident communicator and have the ability to build strong relationships.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Lead sourcing and category management to ensure product ranges are in line with market trends and customer expectations
  • Ensure strong relationships are built and maintained with new and existing suppliers
  • Negotiate terms, pricing and contracts
  • Stay on top of industry trends
  • Ensure profitability is maintained and remain competitive in the market
  • Collaborate with wider teams such as sales and marketing to drive and increase sales
  • Stay up to date with market research and emerging trends
  • Ensure products are in line with company standards and quality
Essential skills:
  • To be considered for this role you must have knowledge of flooring products such as LVT, laminate, solid wood flooring etc
  • At least three years of experience in a similar role as a Purchasing Manager
  • Previous experience in supplier negotiation and contract management
  • Strong and confident communicator
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and in an independent way
Package:
  • £55,000 - £60,000 base salary
  • Fully office based at two London office locations
