Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Basic salary between £26000 and £28000
This is a great opportunity to join an award-winning manufacturing and construction company based in the North East.
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be a key member of the project team, responsible for managing aspects of the commercial and contractual activities on the assigned sections of the project. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the project's financial success and delivering it to the highest standards of quality, within budget and on schedule.
The Job:
Preparation and submission of valuations.
Preparation of accurate take offs from drawings.
Pricing of contract variations.
Preparation of subcontractor payment certificates.
Control of supply chain ensuring full visibility of liabilities.
Issue of subcontract enquiries, compare quotes, undertake negotiations and place comprehensive orders.
Site visits to assess progress against plan (When required).
General administration duties within the Quantity Surveying Department.
Setting up and inputting data to standard spreadsheets for Cost Value Reconciliation.
Monthly valuations.
Liaising with the main Contractor's QS for certification and instructions.
The Person:
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a similar financial discipline desirable but not essential
