We are now looking for a One Ocean Roadshow Delivery Officer to join us on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week, for a three year fixed term contract.
The Benefits

The Role
As our One Ocean Roadshow Delivery Officer, you will play a vital role in inspiring and empowering communities across Northern England to take action for marine conservation.
Delivering impactful ocean literacy sessions, you will engage diverse audiences through schools, youth groups and public events, while fostering long-term connections with volunteers and citizen scientists to protect our marine heritage.
You will co-develop inclusive resources, deliver educational sessions to groups of all ages and organise public engagement events.
Collaborating with internal teams, youll contribute to the development of impactful communication plans, monitor project outcomes and support our conservation objectives through citizen science and volunteer outreach initiatives.
Additionally, you will:
- Chair and facilitate a Community Ocean Literacy Focus Group
- Facilitate regional training events
- Support the recruitment of Sea Champion volunteers
- Ensure all materials adhere to brand guidelines and acknowledge funders
- Provide feedback to participants on their contributions to conservation outcomes
About You
To be considered as our One Ocean Roadshow Delivery Officer, you may have gained and applied your knowledge through a variety of routes; through work experience, informal study or formal education in Environmental Science, Social Sciences, Environmental Psychology, Applied Marine Science or Marine Conservation, for example.
You will also need:
- Applied knowledge of assessing and selecting community engagement approaches and evidence of how youve developed and delivered them
- Knowledge of a broad range of marine issues that impact marine protected sites
- Knowledge of data protection and its application to information collection and use
- Familiarity with using software to make creative and engaging presentations, including video editing
- A portfolio of resources and promotional materials that you have produced
- A full, valid driving licence
There will be travel within the UK required, with overnight stays.
