Job Description
Product Quality Manager - Southampton - Hybrid (1-2 days a week in the office) - Fixed Term Contract
We are looking for a brilliant Product Quality Manager, initially for 6 months, to work closely with our clients Commercial teams to understand new onboarding activity, auditing vendors and approving products for UK and Ireland markets. You will be working with Sourcing Offices and Commercial to specify, review and approve our clients own brand exclusive products. This will also involve driving process enhancements and efficiencies, whilst protecting their brand and due diligence.
You will be responsible for:
- Product Approval – for ranged products, promotions and spot buys. Includes liaising with vendors to collect and check regulatory evidence as part of Required Technical File (RTF).
- Being the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Commercial Team and vendors to ensure regulatory compliance of product, artwork and instructions.
- Understanding product lifecycle including new product development – support commercial teams in understanding specification of product and regulatory requirements. This will include working with current product reference specifications, creating new or updating of these documents
- Working with packaging and commercial teams, facilitate authoring of new product artwork and customer user manuals.
- Support Quality Surveillance team with issue management of current products.
You will need:
- Experience of product regulation and compliance for both UK and EU markets, ideally in a large retail or consumer goods business
- Technical background with a level of product knowledge
- Project management experience
- Vendor or supplier engagement knowledge
