Import Shipping & Clearance Clerk
Hours:
Monday to Friday: 8:00 16:30
One sunday in three: 10:00 12:00
38 hours per week
Salary depends on experience £24000 - £28000
Pioneer International are a family run business specialising in the Import and Export of freight worldwide.
We are ideally looking to recruit an individual with experience in import shipping, administration and import clearances at our Milton Keynes Branch.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Booking shipments via the DHL, Fedex, TNT online systems.
Tracking of arranged shipments.
Clearing shipments with the courier companies.
Completing Customs Declarations using our software ASM Sequoia.
Liaising with customers, addressing and resolving issues.
Responding to telephone and e-mail enquires in a timely manner.
Inputting shipments into the computer.
Organising paperwork.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Proficiency with Microsoft programs and other IT softwares.
Strong and concise communication skills, both written and verbal.
Effective personal time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
Strong administrative skills .
Good telephone manor.
Highly Organised.
Able to work as part of a small team and on their own.
EXPERIENCE
Experience in shipping is required.
Preferable experience with arranging shipments with DHL, Fedex etc.
Preferable experience with Customs Declarations.
